One Year Anniversary

Brooke married me one year ago today. That's not us in the picture above. That's actually a picture of my sister and brother-in-law. It was taken in September of 2005, a year before they were even married. The picture is from the weekend that Brooke and I were supposed to meet.My sister thought we would be good together, and so we schemed a roof-deck party where I would fly out from Michigan and meet the woman of my dreams. It didn't work out that way. Had we actually met, I wonder if it would have worked. Timing is everything, right? A three-month e-mail flirtation suited us really well. And now look at us. We're counting our marriage by the year.Brooke and I are celebrating in Florida right now. I'm writing this on Friday to automatically publish on our wedding anniversary. I'd like to say that's because we're not taking a computer with us. But that's not true. We have a lot of Friday Night Lights to catch up on before the season starts in two weeks.
