An assignment I shot in May is in Boy's Life Magazine this month. In situations like the one below, the best vantage point is often a dangerous one. But, I was hoping if I knelt down low and in front of the soldiers (and their muskets loaded with marshmallows and cornstarch) I would avoid getting shot. I didn't take into account that I would be an irresistible target for a ten-year-old with a marshmallow blown gun. My entire right side was covered with cornstarch. My equipment, too. I had to ask a man in the parking lot to brush off my back.
